Rimini Behind The Scene

A Documentary Journey

Rimini Behind The Scene

We left the classroom to ask one question: is sustainable business truly possible in real life?

Real decisions. Real constraints. Real sustainability.

The Question That Started Everything

What happens when sustainability leaves the classroom?

Sustainability is often discussed as a clean and inspiring concept. But real businesses face budgets, customers, regulations, supply chains, human needs, and daily pressure.

This project began with a simple but uncomfortable question: can sustainable business survive the real world?

Is sustainable business actually achievable, or is it just a theoretical concept discussed in classrooms?
From Classroom to Real World

Rimini became our living laboratory.

For many people, Rimini means the sea, sunshine, and tourism. For us, it became a place to explore the hidden work, choices, and compromises behind sustainable business.

We moved from academic theory to real conversations with entrepreneurs, professionals, academics, and local experts. Their stories showed us that sustainability is not a slogan. It is a daily practice shaped by courage, cost, innovation, and responsibility.

Official Public Event

Interviews

We listened to real voices from agriculture, architecture, consulting, restaurants, fashion, social cooperatives, and public policy.

Fieldwork

We visited real places where sustainability is practiced, challenged, negotiated, and redefined.

Editing

We connected the interviews into one documentary narrative about real-world sustainability.

Public Presentation

The final project was selected to be presented publicly at the University of Bologna – Rimini Campus.

What We Discovered

Sustainability is not a simple answer. It is a difficult balance.

The documentary helped us understand that sustainable business is built through daily decisions, economic pressure, social responsibility, environmental awareness, and the courage to keep improving.

Sustainability has a cost.

Sustainable choices often require investment, patience, and the ability to convince customers and stakeholders of long-term value.

Sustainability is also social.

A business cannot be truly sustainable if it protects the environment but ignores workers, inclusion, dignity, and vulnerable communities.

Technology is not neutral.

Digital transformation and artificial intelligence can create efficiency, but they can also exclude fragile workers if society does not respond responsibly.
